From exchanging emails to going on a date
Here is where it matters the most. As a rule of thumb, you could ask the woman for a date when you have exchanged three to five emails to her. Anything less would make you sound desperate, and anything more would make the whole thing go stale.
When you ask for the date, don't just say 'let's go for coffee'. Instead, say that you're going to do your weekly rock climbing and ask her if she would like to tag along. Better still, go for the date which is related to the activity in the picture that you sent her.
One final point. Women who you meet online are there to meet men, so there is no double guessing her intentions. Therefore, the game is already staked in your favor. Just follow the two steps outlined above, you will be on your way to take your dating life to a new level.
