If you are bored sometime, take a look at some of the photos guys put up on their online profiles for the dating sites. If someone looks over your shoulder while you are staring at some other guys picture, well I'll leave it up to you to do the explaining.
What do I see when I look at the vast majority of photos, both male and female on the dating sites? Thoughtlessness and carelessness.

Social Proof
The second photo is one in which you are showing social proof. By social proof, you are showing yourself in a public setting with the boys, laughing it up. This could be a party, a pool hall, bowling alley, whatever. It shows her that you have a life of your own, and you have friends that approve of you. This puts her fears in check that you are not a creep of some kind.
Funny/playful
The third one is a photo in which you are making fun of yourself, if only slightly. Go to a mall, or a hotel lobby, or any place that looks nice. Take a picture in which you are doing something goofy, such as peeking behind a garbage can. Another is to pretend like you are going to punch the valet guy out. This is a pure conversation starter for your profile. It also shows that you are a bit larger than life, another key characteristic of the alpha male.
The important thing to do is to make sure that these photos are up to snuff before you post them. Get a digital camera, or heck, borrow one and take the photos again and again until you get it right, Get a haircut, scrub your face well or get a facial, and if you are a bit pale, drop in the suntan salon for a touch of tan, and then post your picture
