If you have a home you need a plan. A plan to keep your home clean. You also need a plan for cleaning the clothing your wear. A plan to feed yourself and most likely a few more plans. All that planning can overwhelm you which is where checklists come in.
Checklists are the easiest way to stay on top of things to do. They keep you organized and they remind you of what comes next.
So we listed some pretty important areas to keep track of.
1) Make food
2) Clean home
3) Clean clothing
4) Child care.
It of course gets more detailed than that but this is a very rough draft of the plan to keep you clothed, clean and fed.
What if you want to be more organized than that? To know more about what needs to be done to accomplish each of these tasks? Then you take your checklist a few steps further.
1) Make food
What food do I need or like
Buy food
Prepare food
You get the idea. As basic as it is it works. A list as simple as this can remind you that you need to write down the foods you plan to buy at the grocery store. It can remind you to buy those foods at the grocery store and then your list can tell you when to prepare each meal. For a one person household this might seem like overkill but start adding spouses and children to the mix and it becomes a life saver.
Don't stop there. Use your checklists to remind you when you kitchen or bathroom or bedroom need cleaning. Use them to remind you that it's time to water the plants or vacuum under the couch.
What if you are a forgetful person? What if you forget to look at your list? Put your checklist in a place you know you can't miss it. On the fridge, on your desk, in your planner. Check off things as you do them. Bingo! You're an organized person. It works!
